Starke County Young Professionals

YPG group playing Elves on the Shelf in the Peppermint Parade in 2016.

Saturday April 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM the Starke County Young Professionals Group will be volunteering for Habitat for Humanity to paint their Trailer.  The meeting will be at the Starke County Chamber Depot,  400 N Heaton, Knox.   They would love to see you there as a volunteer or even just to show your support!

Beginning in May the Starke County Young Professionals will begin their Movie in the Park program.   They would like to continue the program thru the summer, hosting at least one movie per month.   Movies will be G/PG and projected at Norwayne Field in North Judson.   Some snacks will be available and more details on times will be up shortly.   Hope to see you there!

The Starke County Young Professionals will be hosting a Christmas in July this year to benefit those living in our local Senior Homes.   Any donations would be appreciated!   Feel free to bring items to any YPG meeting (third wednesday of the month) or drop them off to the Starke County Chamber Depot (400 N Heaton, Knox) or to Century 21 Affiliated (Entrance to Baileys Discount).   We thank you in advance for any help with this project, as we work to provide gifts to approximately 80 elderly citizens.

The Starke County Young Professionals Group is a group that came from the Quality of Place initiative that was started through the Starke County Economic Development Foundation along with the Starke County Chamber.

The group meets once a month, usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month at a different locations to help include more participants throughout the County.  This group consists of the upcoming leaders of Starke County and is open to anyone not yet retired.   They gather to network and bring new ideas on how to make Starke County an even better place to live and do business.  If you would like to join the group, please keep an eye on the WKVI calendar for their next meeting, or check their Facebook page.  Much of their focus is on the Fine Arts and recreation, but that is open to change.
