NJUMC – Outreach Ministries- Kids Closet / Food Pantry
The vision of the North Judson Food Pantry is that no one in North Judson area goes hungry. They work in cooperation with other community groups who refer individuals with food needs to the food pantry. If you, or someone you know, is in need of food, the Food Pantry is open the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 1:00-4:00 p.m. If you would like to volunteer contact Jose Marquez (574-806-7064) or the church office (574-896-5927). Volunteers are needed to organize the pantry, work in the pantry and help with the pickup and unloading of food from various food banks. This is a wonderful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and show the love of God in a tangible way! Once a month the church hosts a “Free Lunch” in Fellowship Hall. It is open for anyone to fellowship and socialize and enjoy a good meal! The dates change from month to month, but usually it is on the last Saturday of the month from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Check the Event Calendar dates and times! If you would like to volunteer contact the church office (574-896-5927). Volunteers are needed to help prepare food, serve food, and even to eat and interact with those partaking in the free meal. Kid’s Closet meets the needs of children in our community so that they may come to know the love of Christ so that one day, they may become true disciples of Jesus Christ. We meet the needs of children in Starke County that are recommended by a teacher in the school system and by Dept. of Children Services. Find more information at the Facebook Group
